"Merging In"

The key benefit of designing your application icons to follow the Tango style is that you will need to only worry about a single icon set. Take such application and run it within KDE, GNOME, MS Windows or Mac OS X and it feels at home and not alien on any of those platforms.

Firefox is a modern web browser millions of users have grown to love. The key features of Firefox include tabbed browsing, a spell checker, incremental find, live bookmarking, a download manager, and an integrated search system that uses the user's desired search engine. Furthermore functions can be added through add-ons created by third-party developers.

Lot of attention has been put to make it look and behave natively on all of the platforms Firefox 3 supports. The Linux version now features a new Tango-styled icon set by default.

GNU Image Manipulation Program is a multi-platform raster image editor used by artists all over the world. The newly released version 2.4 features a redesign of the interface icons which follow the style guidelines. That makes GIMP feel native on any of the platforms it runs on even though it ships with a single set of icons.

Because the style has been designed for the icons to be visible regardless of the background color, artists can enjoy using dark widget themes that allows them to focus on the artwork canvas.

Scribus is an open-source program that brings award-winning professional page layout to Linux/Unix, MacOS X, OS/2 and Windows desktops with a combination of "press-ready" output and new approaches to page layout.

Underneath the modern and user friendly interface, Scribus supports professional publishing features, such as CMYK color, separations, ICC color management and versatile PDF creation.

VMWare Workstation 6

Vmware Workstation 6 running on the Linux host OS

VMware Workstation 6 makes it simple to create and run multiple virtual machines on your desktop or laptop computer. You can convert an existing physical PC into a VMware virtual machine, or create a new virtual machine from scratch. Each virtual machine represents a complete PC, including the processor, memory, network connections and peripheral ports. VMWare Workstation works on both Windows and Linux systems.
